IT’S NO SURPRISE THAT WHEN WE SAW PEOPLE IN NEED, OUR CHEFS & PARTNERS STEPPED UP.

In times of crisis — our network of talented and generous chefs, farmers and purveyors continue to step up to make sure food gets to our communities and feed families who are most in need. In 2025, when the LA fires first broke out, our chefs were on the front lines with over 10,000+ meals a day between January to March 2024. Warm meals were sent across Malibu and Altadena to feed displaced families at YMCA Koreatown, Pasadena Boys & Girls Club, DTLA Evacuation Center, first responders, LAFD in Malibu, Alta Dena and Hanson Dam. We’ve provided food support to support the Pasadena Job Center, National Day Laborer Organizing Network, Pasadena Education Foundation and families directly impacted by the fires.

As of June 2025, the rise in ICE raids across Los Angeles and our farming communities moved us to start Food for Families, our monthly meal bag distribution program. We’re immensely grateful to our food community—chefs, farmers, distributors, and supporters—whose tireless efforts have helped us feed thousands of families facing both the direct impact of immigration raids and persistent food insecurity due to SNAP cuts and more. SPONSOR A MONTHLY MEAL BAG

Every month we partner with local businesses, talented award-winning chefs, farmers and more to curate meal bags with delicious meals, fresh produce, weekly staples like eggs, milk, dairy, and pantry items like rice, pasta, beans and more!

We assemble anywhere between 100 to 150 meal bags to support families of 4-6 people and team up with Hope Street Family Center to distribute to the low-income, vulnerable children and working-poor families in downtown, central, and south Los Angeles. These meal bags provide these families and kids high quality meals and groceries that they do not typically have access to.

We are also receiving monetary donations to support our efforts. This will go towards paying our chefs wages, purchasing any required packaging, food and gas for deliveries.
